Product Summary

The FT1745 is a 14-bit resolution Digital-to-Resolver Converter (DRC) which is designed for driving devices such as control transformers and synchro/resolver-to-digital converters.

The FT1745 converts digital data into a sine/cosine (resolver) format output with a conversion accuracy of either ±2 arc min, or ±4 arc min, depending on the option. The line-to-line output voltage is 6V8 at the nominal analogue input voltage level and the rated power output is 2VA.

The fully protected power amplifier output stage has separate supply rail pins which can either be connected to a ±15V DC supply or to a pulsating power supply derived from the reference for reduced power dissipation.

The FT1745 can be used in most applications where a synchro or resolver control transmitter (CX) output is required, such as in naval retransmission systems, avionics systems, and antenna positioners. The FT1745 is also ideal for use in synchro and resolver simulation and test equipment.
